Health and safety is of paramount importance to UDP, we are committed to a policy that manages all aspects of health, safety and welfare. Our ISO 18001 certified health and safety management system assures that processes are followed to minimise risk, complemented by a dedicated HSQE team supporting UDP in delivering the safety for all.
Our health and safety management system sets out the core standards employees and our supply chain must follow. The safety credentials of our suppliers and subcontractors are scrutinised before they are engaged, and we maintain the skills and awareness of all staff through training tailored to individual roles (as set out in our formal training matrix).
The welfare and wellbeing of our team here at UDP is central to our values, we continue to look for and attract and retain passionate people within the business. UPD takes a proactive approach to dealing with mental health issues in the workplace and we recognise that mental, as with physical health needs to be something that you take care of every day. We have appointed a dedicated Mental health first aider to help direct people to assistance and support if required.
